The Death of QUEEN JEAN.

QUEEN Jean was in labour for six weeks and more,
All the women were tired and quite gave her o'er
O women! O women! O women you be,
Pray send for my mother to come and see me

Her mother was sent for, and immediately came,
And she sat on the bedside along with Queen Jean
O mother! dear mother! my mother yon be,
Pray send for King Henry to come and see me.

King Henry he came, and the curtains drew by,
And said my dear Jeany, pray what would you say
King Henry! King Henry! King Henry you be,
Pray send for the doctor to come and see me.

The doctor was sent for and immediately came;
And he sat on the bedside along with Queen Jean
O doctor! O doctor! a doctor you be,
Pray open my right side, and save my two babes

He gave her a drink and she fell in a swoon,
He open'd her side and the babes they were found
The babes they were christen'd without joy or mirth,
And the flower of old England was laid in the earth.

Black was the kitchen and black was the hall,
And black were the ladies who attended them all
Black were their aprons and black were their fans,
And black were the gloves that they wore on their hands.

Six and six coaches, and six coaches more,
While royal King Henry went mourning beforo
With a cloak of black velvet hung down to his heels
And the flower of old England was laid in the ground
