Conventions for «guillemets» edit

Per discussion with User:Beeswaxcandle on my user talk page, the following should be done with «guillemets»:

  • They should not be spaced (i.e. instead of text « quoted » text, use text «quoted» text); treat them like regular quotes.
  • When opening guillemets precede each line (indicating a longer quoted passage), as on Page:Imre.pdf/39/Page:Imre.pdf/40 and on Page:Imre.pdf/159, the opening guillemets on lines other than the first should be removed (but leave one for each paragraph). Depending on the context, it may make sense to add a fixed width to the section (I've done it for 159, as it's a letter, but not for 39/40).
