Don't reinvent the (Tibetan prayer) wheel ...

A "decent" text version already exists on PG (https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/68898). Proofreaders should save effort for both themselves and the validators by referring to that version. Sutradhar links (talk) 11:29, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Minor style guide

edit

I've done a good chunk of the pages here and I wanted to point out the things I'm doing so that we can make things consistent:

  • Use smallrefs in the footer for footnotes. If you forget to include this then the footnotes still appear but they are too big and it looks off
  • For initials, especially in the footnotes, I've started using nbsp for spaces because it looks really weird if an initial is cut off by a line break. So for example, if the initials are (W. R.) I write (W. R.)
  • For image captions and A.D. and B.C. in footnotes (as in on page 240) I use {{smaller}}

If something here seems wrong/can be improved, please let me know! I'm still kind of new here and very, very open to learning. Thank you! Tripler06 (talk) 02:42, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
