reprint vs. original? edit

There is another "The Strand volume 43" at Google Books, which is labelled as being from February to July (issues 253-258) as opposed to this version, which is labelled as January to June (issues 253-258; the months are differently numbered between the two versions).

There is substantial overlap between these two versions, but they are not identical in their contents. I list here the contents of the July issue (issue 258) from the Google Books scan; bolded items also appear in the June issue (issue 258) of this scan.

I also checked the scan uploaded here of Volume 44 to see if the missing stories were printed there, but they don't appear to be. Does anyone know what the deal is here, and why this discrepancy exists in numbering and content? (I guess a reprint collection may decide to cut content--but it's frustrating that there's no indication in this scan that this may have happened. And this doesn't explain why the numbering/dating is different.) --Superiority (talk) 16:55, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Very cursory investigation shows that the other version I linked is just the US version, which was printed a month behind and had some differences in content. --Superiority (talk) 03:44, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
