Devon, a student of the Inner Temple 30 Oct., 1860 (then aged 22), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1864 (only son of late Charles Birch, Esq., of Liverpool); born 13 March, 1838; married 13 Dec., 1864, Emma Edith Malet, dau. of late James Grant Lumsden, H.E.I.C.S., and has issue (see Foster's Our Noble and Gentle Families).
