Coll., Camb., a clerk in Charity Commission since 1867, a student of the Inner Temple 21 Nov., 1867 (then aged 22), called to the bar 30 April, 1874 (only son of Alfred Burton, of St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex); born , 1845; married 2 June, 1877, Ellen Amelia, elder dau. and co-heir of Capt. George Collingwood Dickson, 23rd Madras light infantry (see Foster's Baronetage).
