Bushby, Henry Jeffreys, police magistrate at Worship Street court since 1870, educated at Eton and Haileybury, in Bengal civil service 1839-45, recorder of Colchester 1863-70, J.P. Herts, a commissioner of lieutenancy for the City of London, author of The Practice of Elections, A Month in the Camp before Sebastapool, etc., a student of the Middle Temple 12 June, 1846, went to the Inner Temple 24 March, 1848 (then aged 31), where he was called to the bar 21 Nov., 1851 (eldest son of Henry Turner Bushby, Esq., late of Madras civil service, dec.); born 4 Oct., 1820; married 11 Nov., 1862, Lady Frances North, dau. of Francis, 6th earl of Guilford, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
