St. John's Coll., Camb., a student of Lincoln's Inn 26 March, 1823, called to the bar 6 June, 1834 (eldest son of late James Dearden, Esq., of Rochdale, co. Lanc.); born 30 July, 1798; married 4 Nov., 1829, Jane, eldest dau. of Rev. William Griffith, M.A., rector of Llanwrog, Carnarvonshire, and sister and co-heir of William Griffith, Esq., and has issue.
