A Wonderful Prophecy in the Year 1684, by Mr. Alexander Pedan late Minister of the Gospel in the West of Scotland; foretelling the Death of King Charles the Second; as also two Dukes Contending for the Crown, and York prevailing, but not Reigning four Years; King William’s Succeeding, and the manner of losing his Life; and after him our Gracious Queen Anne: All which are accomplished accordingly. And also great and wonderful things concerning the Conversion of the Jews and Turks to the Christian Religion, and Glorious days of the Gospel, in bringing about of which Scotland shall mainly be instrumental, which great things cannot but be very acceptable to all good Christians; and that those who live to see the Year 1715 shall see this accomplished.

The great Mole shall fall in his Coffin before the eighth day of February; Then two Dukes shall contend for the Crown but York, he by Slight and Guile shall gain the Prize, but he shall not long last, for in his time the Church shall tremble like the Aspen Leaf: he may Reign three Years, but he shall not make out the fourth; his reign shall be like the Bramble in the Judges, but he shall flee away and his Wickedneis no longer hide. Then after that Idolator shall a white Flower and Fair Figure mount the Throne with little strife, and many shall cry, now is the promised time come, and nothing to make our Church annoy.

O Scotland sad Peace, great Peace and little Truth, for Truth shall fall in the Streets, and few be found to mourn for it, and these that shall mourn for it, shall be mocked by those that should be their Friends, but then that shall not long laste.

This Prince he shall have long Wars with France, but not for the Truth shall they contend; this Prince shall be plucked away and lose his Life by sudden Accident or Treachery.

A Queen shall be seen in England, in Her Time you shail not know your M- --from your C--- for in their Apostacie they shall joyn with subtile Thoughts & Subtile Liberties: then shall Scotland promise themselves Peace and Safety, when they have sold our C---------s, yea Sworn against them! O Scotland, well art thou now, thou art in a peaceable Possession, thou hast both Law and Gospel, thou sees nothing wrong with thee! O Scotland, I will tell thee thou haft a dreadful Blaft to bide, the like thereof thou never suffered, shalt be both Sifted and Fanned, and great shall thy Distress be, yea the very Godly shall be hopeless of Relief, and shall not know what hand to turn to. O LORD fails thy word for evermore? Yet despair not, for inthe midst of thy Grief and Trouble, there shall come a People out of a Wood, and pull a Dead Man out of his Grave, who shall relieve the Spouse of Christ, for the Enemies of GOD shall not be able to stand before that Noble Army, for Sun and Moon shall Fight in their course from Heaven with the remnant of thee O Scotland, and then shall his Enemies be mastered by the Power of GOD and not of Men, then joy shall arise to Man and Wife, the Sorrowful shall be still from Strife, and the Spouse of Christ shall sing joyfully, Praising Her Redeemer for all her Deliverances, then shall the Covenant be Renewed, and the Renewing of the Covenant shall make the People Tremble like the Hand Writing upon the Wall before Belshazzar, The Pope’s Countenance shall be changed, and his Thoughts shall trouble him, his Joints and Loins shall be loosed, and his Knees shall smite one another, and the Throne of Iniquity will come to an end; yea the LORD shaIl make good his Promise to put it in the hearts of the Kings of the Earth to hate the Whore, and to Burn her flesh with Fire! O my Friends think not long, the time is at hand, but great is the Mystery of theBeast, and except the Days of Iniquity should be shortned, the very Elect should be in danger of being saved, but for the Elects sake these Days shall be shortned! O poor Scotland for all the ills thou hast done, out of thee that Army shall go that shall overthrow Popery and Prelacy, and all unclean things that ever entered into the Church of Christ; upon the back of that shall the Conversion of the Jews be, & they shall come to thee O Scotland, and receive theGospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in a goodly manner shall they come, every Man giving an account of his Tribe; yea, the News of this shall make the Turk tremble and be afraid:the Army shall go through the Turks Bounds, the Turk shall say the Christians GOD hath done great things for them, and then the Turk shall become Christian. Before this be accomplished many Professours shall fall away like Dross, ae Malachi cryed out. Who shall abide the Day of his coming, and who shall shand when he appeareth, for he is like a Refiners Fire and Fullers Sope, he shall sit as a Refiner of Gold and Silver, and Refine the Sons of Levi, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in Righteousness.

He that lives to see the

Year 1715, shall see this

Accomplished.
