fication of life given by the Father, and brought forth by the bloud of Chrift, have this as their great priviledge of that new b Covenant, peace with God, and reconciliation, whereby they that were afarre off, were brought nigh by that bloud, and have (as the Scripture fpeaks) peace & paffing all underſtanding, yea,joy in God, through our Lord Jefus Chrift, by whom wee have received the Atonement.

XXXI.

That all belcevers in the time of this life, are in a continuall warfare, combate, and oppofition againſt finne, felfe, the world, and the Devill, and liable to all manner of afflictions, tribulations, and perfecutions, and fo fhall continue untill Chrift comes in his Kingdome, being predeftinated and appointed thereunto; and whatfoever the Saints, any of them doe poffeffe or enjoy of God in this life, is onely by faith.

XXXII.

That the onely ftrength by which the Saints are inabled to incounter with all oppofition, and to overcome all afflictions, temptations, perfecutions, and tryalls, is onely by Jefus Chrift, who is the Captain of their falvation, being made perfect through fufferings, who hath ingaged his ftrength to affift them in all their afflictions, and to uphold them under all their temptations, and to preferve them by his power to his everlafting Kingdome.
