Born, New Albany, Mississippi, June 2, 1865; admitted to Texas Bar, year of his majority; practiced law in Texas, Alabama, Washington, Oregon and Nevada before coming to Colorado; has held the offices of Justice of the Peace, City Attorney and Deputy District Attorney; has intermingled a journalistic career with the practice of the law, and has written short stories, serials and novels.
