GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET.

Length, 4.05 inches. Male, crown orange, yellow, and black; back olive-green; under parts whitish. Female, similar, but crown without orange.

RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET.

Length, 4.40 inches. Adult male, crown-patch ruby; back olive-green; under parts whitish. Adult female and young, similar, but no crown-patch.
