GRAVY FOR BAKED FISH

  • MATERIALS
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • UTENSILS
  • Small saucepan
  • Strainer

DIRECTIONS

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add the flour to the butter, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Strain the liquid from, the pan in which the fish was baked into a measuring-cup, and add enough hot water to fill the cup
  4. Add this liquid to the butter-and-flour mixture, stirring constantly over the fire until it thickens and boils.
  5. Add the Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice.
