One of two mentioned by Vasari, who says that, Andrea painted a St. John for Giovanni Maria P.enintendi, who gave it to Duke Cosimo, and also a St. John which ho intended to send as a propitiatory offering to Francis I., but afterwards sold it to Otta- viano de' Medici.
