LOVE right is a fountain, surmounted by a statue of Cupid astride of a lion ; behind her, a ser- vant offers fruit unperceived by her mistress, whose melancholy countenance shows that her thoughts are far away. Painted about 1503 ; described by Ridolfi in 1048, when it was in the Palazzo Borghese ; in- termediate history unknown.
