Born March 27th, 1811 ; suc- ceeded his father 1856; educated at the Charterhouse, at Eton, and at Magdalen College, Cambridge ; was for some time a Lord of the Bedchamber to the Prince Consort, and a Lord in Waiting, and a Lord of the Bedchamber to the Queen, 1866 8 ; to which oifice he was re- appointed 1874. Sat as M.P. for Denbighshire, 183552; is Hon. Col. of the Staffordshire Yeomanry Cavalry, and a Dep. Lieut, and a Magistrate for Staffordshire: married (1851) the Hon. Lucia Caroline Elizabeth Agar-Ellis, eldest daughter of the 1st Baron Dover, and sister of the 3rd Yiscount Clifden, and has issue, living, Sons, William, b. 1857} is Sub-Lieut, in the Staffordshire Yeomanry Cavalry. Emily Fitzroy, daughter of the 1st Baron Southampton, (she d. 1800), and by her had issue an only daughter; 2ndly, Feb. 17, 1807, Lady Louisa Legge, daughter of the 3rd Earl of Dartmouth, (she d. 18l6) ; he d.
