Born Jan. 3rd, 1810 ; succeeded his father 1856; educated at Eton, and at Oriel College, Oxford, (B.A. 1830; M.A. 1834; D.C.L. 1864); was M.P. for Bandon, 1^84256, and Col. of the Royal Cork City Artillery Militia: married (1832) Catherine Mary, who died 1873, eldest daughter of Thomas Whitmore, Esq., of Apley Park, Shropshire, and has issue, living, Son, James Francis, Viscount Bernard, b. 1850 ; educated at Eton ; is a Capt. in the Royal Cork City Artillery, and a Magistrate for co. March 13, 1809, Mary Susan Albinia, who d. 1870, daughter of the Hon. and Most Rev. Charles Brodrick, D.D., Archbishop of Cashel, and sister of Charles, 6th Viscount Midleton; and d.
