Lieut, of Bute- shire, and a retired Commander in the Royal Navy; was M.P. for Ayrshire, 1839 43; assumed the surname of Carr for himself only, 1822: m. Aug. 4, 1821, Georgiana, 3rd daughter of the late Edward Hay Mackenzie, Esq. of Newhall and Cromartie ; and d.
