Born 1819; succeeded his father in 1860 ; was educated at Harrow, and at Trinity College, Cambridge; is a Magistrate and Dep. Lieut, for Ayrshire and for co. Mayo; was High Sheriff of the latter county 1841 ; assumed the arms and name of Guthrie only, in lieu of those of Browne, 1860: married (1859) I stand for truth.
