Lieut, of Yorkshire, and senior co-heir to the ancient Baronies of Mowbray, Howard, Furnival, Strange of Blakemore, Braose of Gower, Clun, Lovetot, Oswalddestre, Maltravers, Verdon, Segrave, Howard of Castlerising, and Fitz-Alan, and to a moiety of the Barony of Fitz-Payne: married (1865) Mary, only child of the late Mathew Corbally, Esq., M.P., of Corbal- ton Hall, co. Meath, and has issue, living, Sons, Charles Botolph, b. 1867. Alfred Edward, b. 1872. Daughters, Mary Lucy Agnes, 6. 1868. Edith Matilda Mary, b. 1870. Hilda Mary, b. 187L Alison Mary, b. 1874. STOURTON, Baron, His lordship's predecessor was his father, Charles, 18th Baron Stourton. He was b. July 13, 1802, and succeeded his father 1846. Was a Dep. Lieut, of Yorkshire : m. 1825, the Hon. Mary Lucy Clifford, who d. 1872, 7th taugbter of the 6th Baron Clifford. He d. Dec. 23, 1872, leaving issue two sons. Strabane, Baron and Viscount, titles borne by the Duke of Abercorn. JOHN EDWARD CORNWALLIS Rous, 2nd Earl, and a Baronet, Lord Lieut, and Custos Rotulorum of Suffolk, and Vice Admiral of the Coast of Suffolk. Born Feb. 13th, 1794 ; succeeded his father in 1 827 ; was educated at Westminster School ; entered the Coldstream Guards, 1810, became Lieut, and Capt. 1814, and retired, 1817 ; served in the Peninsular war, and in the Netherlands ; was present at Salamanca, Vittoria, the Nive, the Nivelle, the siege of Burgos, and St. Se- bastian; and during the investment and sortie at Bayonne, in 1814; has I live in hope.
