But it is certain their objective point was Tiguex, now Bernalillo, New Mexico, where the main army was waiting for their return; sothey passed through the present States of Kansas, Okla- homa, Texas and New Mexico Territory, part of which domain being the hunting ground of the Quere- ehos, as the Spaniards named them, but in modern parlance they are known as the Comanche Indians, so by that name you will recognize them.
