Henry Cornbull. was admitted in 1497, vice Bothe; resigned in 1504[1].

John Carver, LL.D., was admitted 14th June 1504, on the resignation of Cornbull. He resigned this dignity in 1515.

Brian Higden was admitted to this dignity 26th May 1515 : void by the resignation of Carver. In the next year he became dean of this church.

Hugh Ashden or Ashton admitted in 1516. Ob. in 1522.

Thomas Winter succeeded in 1523, and held it till 1529.

Thomas Westbie installed 26th June 1540. He died 21St Dec. 1543.

George Palmer or Palmes, admitted in 1543.

John Stokes had the Queen's nomination to this dignity 15th Jan. 1559–60[2].

William Chaderton, S.T.P., was admitted 31st May 1568[3].

John Gibson held the office in 1572.

Robert Ransden or Ramsden was admitted in 1575, vice Chaderton resigned; he also held it 14th May 1578[4]. He was buried at Spofford in Yorkshire, 14th Oct. 1596[5].

Christopher Gregory held the dignity in 1597, and died in 1600.

Roger Acroid, S.T.P., admitted in 1600, and died in 1617.

Henry Hook was collated 3rd June 1617 : void by the death of Acroid. Hook resigned in 1623.

Henry Wickham, A.M., was collated 20th March 1623–4: void by the resignation of Hook.

Richard Marsh was presented by the King 15th Aug. 1641[6]. He died in 1663.
