John Vaux was installed in 1462 and died in 1470. William Morland was installed by proxy 26th Feb. 1470—71, and in person 8th March following^*. John Davyson was installed 3cth Oct. 147 1 ; and in 1473 ^^ ^^^^ removed to the deanery of Salisbury. William Dudley was installed 4th Dec. 1473 j ^^^ ^^ 1476 he was made bishop of Durham. Peter Courteney, LL.D., was appointed on the 9th, and installed nth Oct. 1476 ^^, on the resignation of William Dudley; and in 1478 he was made bishop of Exeter. Richard Beaucha^ip, LL.D., bishop of Salisbury ^ was installed dean of this chapel 4th March 1477—8. He was first chancellor of the Order of the Garter. Thomas Danet or Danette, S.T.P., from a canonry was appointed dean 25th Oct. 1481'^. He died i8th Sept. J 483 and was buried near the door of the chap- ter-house. William Beverley, appointed by patent nth Oct. 1483^7. He was installed in 1483. John Morgan, LL.D., was installed in 1484; and in 1496 he was made bishop of St. David's.
