This prebend was founded probably by Thomas H, archbishop of York 1109 — 11 14: endowed with a part of the great tithes of Northmuskhara, with the great tithes of Caunton, and with certain temporals in North Muskham and Caunton. Henry de Lexinton, treasurer of Sarum, resigned this prebend in 1242^'^. Afterwards bishop of Lincoln. Richard de Sutton, collated 14th Sept. 1242, on the resignation of Henry de Lexinton s^. Prebendary also of Lincoln : he died shortly before 1274^^. Laurence de Brandeston held it in 1268^°. Henry de Newerke, archdeacon of Hichnond^ held it in 1288. He resigned it in 1298, upon his elevation to the archbishopric of York^^ William de Newerke, collated i8th June 1298, on the resignation of Henry de Newerke'^-.
