This lecture was founded by William Camden, esq., clarencieux king of arms, 5th March 1 621-2. Degory Wheare, M.A., late fellow of Exeter college, was appointed by the founder i6th Oct. 1622. Robert Waring, M.A., student of Christ Church and senior proctor, was elected 2nd Aug. 1647; ejected by the Parliament visitors 14th Sept. 1648. Lewis du Moulin, M.D., was substituted the same day, and by the same authority that ejected his pre- decessor ; but about the beginning of Aug. 1 660 he was obliged to quit it. John Lamphire, M..'D.,felloio of New college^ was elect- ed i6th Aug. 1660. He became principal of New Inn and of Hart hall. He died 30th March 1688, and was buried in New college chapel.
