The Pope, however, con- secrated him at Rome, tertio die Sanctse Trinitatis^^^ (4th June) 1200. He made his profession to the archbishop 29th Oct. following, and was enthroned 1 2th Nov. He died in exile at Pontiniao in June 1212^^. 1 2 14 Walter de Grey, the King's chancellor and elect of 16 Joh. Coventry y (for he had not been consecrated to that see,) was elected 20th Jan. 1 213— 14 to Worcester, obtained the royal assent in April 1214^^, and the re- stitution of the temporalities 7 th July ^7^ and was con- secrated 5th Oct. at Canterbury. In 12 16 he was translated to York. i2t6 Silvester de ^x'e.^ham^ prior of Worcester ^"wSiB elected 17 Joh. ^rd April ^8, and obtained the royal assent on the 8th of that month^^; he was consecrated by pope Innocent 3rd July following, and enthroned 8th Sept.^o He died i5th June 1218, and was buried at Worcester on the 20th of the same month 7i. The license to elect a bishop in the room of Silvester is dated 24th July 1 21872 ; pursuant to which 1218 William of Blots or Bloys or Bleys, archdeacon of 2 Hen. III.
