Bay, N.Y. De Kay, John Wesley, capitalist, author, was born July 20, 1872, in New Hampton, Iowa. He edited, managed and owned a chain of newspapers in the west and middle west. He organized the United States packing company and the Mexican national packing company, operating under concessions granted by the Mexican governinent. He has been a member of the national geographical society; and of various clubs in New York City and London, England. He is president of the British and Mexican trust company, ltd., of London; is president of the Rastro de la Ciudad de Mexico of Mexico City; and is president of the Mexican national leather company of Mexico City. He maintains offices in New York City, Mexico City and London, England.

De Kay, Sidney Brooks, soldier, lawyer, was born March 7, 1845, in New York City. In 1863 he enlisted in the civil war as private in the Connecticut regiment. He practiced law and served as assistant attorney in the United States district. He died in 1890 in New York City. De Koven, Mrs. Anna Farwell, translator, author, was born Nov. 19, 1860, in Chicago, 111. She is the wife of Louis Reginald de Koven, composer. De Koven, Henry Louis Reginald, musician, composer, was born April 3, 1859, in Middletown, N.H. He is a musical critic on various New York publications. He is the author of operas entitled The Begum; Don Quixote; Robin Hood; The Fencing Master; The Tzigane; The Mandarin; The Highwayman; and The Three Dragoons. De Koven, James, clergyman, author, was born Sept. 19, 1831, in Middletown, Conn.

was bom Sept. 25, 1863, in Dover, Maine. Since 1891 he has been professor of psychology at Brown university. He is the author of An Expedition to Labrador; and of numerous articles on psychology. De Lacy, William, soldier, was born in England. In 1861 he was first lieutenant in the thirty- seventh regiment New York volunteer infantry; and in 1865 was brevetted brigadier-general of volunteers. In 1858-75 he was president of the College of physicians and surgeons; and was also president of the Roosevelt hospital. He died Feb. 13, 1875, in New York City. Delafield, Francis, physician, author, was born Aug. 3, 1841, in New York City. He was the first president of the association of American physicians and pathologists. He is the author of Handbook of Post Mortem Examinations and Morbid Anatomy; Studies in Pathological Anatomy; and Handbook of Pathological Anatomy.
