In 1905-06 she was head instructor of the library school of the Western reserve university. Dorgan, John Aylmer, lawyer, poet, was born Jan. 12, 1836, in Philadelphia, Pa. His only publication was a collection of verse entitled Studies. He died Jan. 1, 1866, in Philadelphia, Pa.

He is assistant instructor of obstetrics at the university of Pennsylvania; and since 1898 has been surgeon to the second troop Philadelphia city cavalry. He is the author of A Syllabus of Gynecology Cluster of Pearls Modern Obstetrics; The American Pocket Medical Dictionary; The American Illustrated Medical Dictionary; and other works.

Thomas Aloysius, naval officer, was about 1800 in Ireland. After being commissioned as captain in 1855, and while in command of the San Jacinto, he captured two slave-vessels on the coast of Africa with over one thousand four hundred slaves on board, and landed them safely in Liberia.
