Francis, Tench, merchant, banker, was born in Fansley, Md. He became the first cashier of the Bank of North America, which office he held until his death. He died May 1, 1800, in Philadelphia, Pa. Francis, Tench, lawyer. He settled in Philadelphia; was attorney -general of Pennsylvania in 1741-55; and recorder of Philadelphia in 1750-55. He died Aug. 16, 1758, in Philadelphia, Pa. Francis, Turbutt, soldier, was bom in 1740. He was a lieutenant in the Bri army, bul during the revolutionary fought for independence and in 1777 had command of the battle in Hubbardton, N.J.
