He has been superintendent of schools in Indiana and Kentucky for more than twenty years; and for four years was president of the Owensboro female college. He is now superintendent of the Jeflfersonville public schools, Indiana.

Goodwin, Charles J., educator, philologist, author, was born March 13, 1866, in Farmington, Maine. Since 1899 he has filled a professorship in Lehigh university at Bethlehem, Pa.
