their continuance in office, receive for their services compensation, which, for the term next ensuing after the adoption of this Constitution, is fixed as follows: Governor, three thousand dollars per annum; Secretary of State, one thousand eight hundred dollars per annum; State Auditor, one thousand eight hundred dollars per annum; State Treasurer, one thousand dollars per annum; Attorney-General, two thousand dollars per annum; and Superintendent of Public Instruction, one thousand five hundred dollars per annum. The Lieutenant-Governor shall receive the same per diem as may be provided by law for the Speaker of the House of Representatives, to be allowed only during the sessions of the legislature.
