Against him have unwittingly committed.
O that the fellest pains had shrunk their nerves
Ere I had seiz'd upon him!

RAYNER.

Cease, good Bertram!

Cease to upbraid thyself. Thou didst thy duty
Like a brave man, and thou art in my mind
Not he who seiz'd, but he whose gen'rous pity
Did, in my fallen state, first shew me kindness.
(Bertram kisses his hand.)

BERTRAM.
