probably show some extreme specializations, as the time separating the Benton from the Baptanodon beds is considerable."

Moreover, it would be of interest to note the presence of this group in the Cre-taceous of this country, which has already been shown to be the geological range of the closely allied European genus Ophthalmosaurus.
