Examined map with Mr. Taylor & McCourt; & went over our route; & all considered or concluded that 49 was the best place for homestead.

OCTOBER 18.

Sunday. Returned home as far as McCourt's.

Cattle hunting.

Dixon and Joe making additional shade for all the stores from the house. Barrigil ill. Self taking lines of this end of run & writing.

OCTOBER 21.

Dixon after cart mare. Joe making temporary stock yards. Barrigil ill and sent down to Bay to change places with Billy.

McCourt & I came from station at 5 p.m. Coopered casks and loaded flat by 11.30.
