NOVEMBER 30.

Hunting cattle; guarding them from natives, usual station work for all hands. (Many natives camped near cattle).

DECEMBER 1, 2, and 3.

Same as usual.

DECEMBER 4.

Collected all cattle (for safety)

(with exception of 2).

DECEMBER 5.

Found all the horses (A long day's ride)

Last load of timber carted.

DECEMBER 7.

Putting up frame of building.

1 sheep dead up the river.

DECEMBER 8.

Still working on the building. Green ill.

DECEMBER 9.

Same routine

While we were at dinner a whirlwind passed through the building & put much of our work out of place; with however no further damage, than the loss of time to put the frame in place again.
