JANUARY 4.

Went with Green to find station for sheep; moving flour; & preparing casks for water. Joe building stone walls at fold.

JANUARY 5.

Took Green to inspect Nairn's sheep; as they appear to be quite clean, I think it advisable to unite the two parties, as the advantage to use will be very considerable. Joe with sheep. Lewington shot two turkeys. (The absence of fences caused much work & vigilance of stock on account of natives).

JANUARY 6.

Marking sheep &c. Carting water & traps to Green's sheep station.

Joe building stone wall.

JANUARY 7.

Repairing dray. Counting & marking sheep.

Ditto Nairn's sheep previous to mixing the two flocks.

JANUARY 8.

Working at dray & carting Nairn's stores from "Mount Lazarus" (?).

JANUARY 9.

Cutting bushes for fold & clearing about house, drains &c

Rain p.m. (with Schum (?)).

JANUARY 10.

Sunday. Heavy rain at 4.30 p.m. Green obliged to bring
