JUNE 8.

1 man & self ploughing McCourt horse hunting ,& with cattle, Lewington ill. Laing at drains. Mooelingunn with lambs.

JUNE 9.

2 men at plough. Lewington the same. Self looking after lost sheep, butter & mare; measuring land.

JUNE 10.

Two men harrowing self sowing McC repairing saddles.

Lewington shot 2 turkeys at 1 shot.

JUNE 11.

Men as above. Attending to mare butter logs stools &c &c

JUNE 12.

Sunday 10 hours steady rain. (Lewington hurt in fall).

JUNE 13.

Lewington at work. Told him to let McCourt go; as he was more likely to find cattle; said he must have a fresh agreement at £2 per month. I told him to go, he was not worth it; that I should not bother myself any more about him, & he would be the last I should send home.

McC found cattle,early. Laing & self carting material for steps. Joe building them. I also finished hewing them.

Horses often seen & in of late. Much rain.
