CONCERT BY THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA BAND
THE WHITE HOUSE
FRIDAY, MAY 23, 1969


THE PRESIDENT:

At 10:00 a. m. you will be escorted from your office to your seat next to the First Lady in the first row of chairs in the Rose Garden.

NOTE:
The 54-member band will have begun its performance at 9:45 a.m. and your arrival will be during a brief break in the program.

The Band is directed by Dr. Bencriscutto and will have been introduced to your guests by Mr. Jacob Ganter, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Education and Cultural Affairs. (If you should decide to attend the entire concert, it is recommended that you introduce the band at 9:45 a.m.)

Your guests, numbering approximately 150, will include representa­tives from the State Department, United States Information Agency, the Senate and House of Representatives. Ambassador Dobrynin of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics will be in attendance.

The Concert will conclude at 10:15 a.m. at which time you will deliver brief remarks of congratulation. You will then be escorted back to your office and your guests will be served refreshments in the Rose Garden.

NOTE:
There will be full press coverage and the United State Information Agency will film the concert for distribution abroad.
