And erery Head-Colleftor is hereby required to m^e Payment of what fhall be fo levied or received unto the Receiver General of the faid Coun- ty, City, or Place, upon or before the twentieth Day of September aforefaid, or within twenty Days after. And the Receiver General is likewife required to call upon and haften the faid Head-collectors, and to pay what he fhall receive from the faid Head-colle£tors into their Majefties Receipt of Exchequer, upon or before the nine and twentieth Day of Sep- ■ tember aforefaid, or within twenty Days after, to the end that the third Payment of the faid Rates and Afleflrnents may by that Time be fully anfwared and paid in to their Majefties, And the Sub-colledtors (hall alfo levy one other quatterly Payment of the faid Rates and Af- . feflhients charged, as aforefaid, upon or before the fecond Day oi December then next enfu- -ing, or within twenty Days affter, and fhall alfo pay the fame unto the faid Head-colleftors -upon or before the ninth Day of December aforefaid, or within twenty Days after. And the faid Receiver General is alfo required to make P;iyment of all which he fhall fo receive into their Majefties Receipt of Exchequer, upon or before the five and twentieth Day of December aforefaid, or within twenty Days after ; to the end ithat .the fourth and laft quarterly Payment of the faid Rates and AfTeuments fo charged, as < aforefaid, may by that Time be fully anfwered and paid in to their Majefties. And all ■ Commiflioners, Colledlors, and Receiver are hereby required and enjoined to apply them- ifelves with all Diligence to the moft fpeedy and effe6lual Execution of their feveral and refpeftive Duties, and to ufe their utmoft Endeavours that all Eftates herein charged may equally pay the Rates and AflTelTments according to the Direction of this Aft, that fo their Majefties Service herein may mot be delayed or hindred through any of their wilful Negle<Sl or Default. - XI. And it is further enafted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the Moneys received by the Sub-colle£lors, within their refpeftive Divifions or Hundreds, fhall from Time to Time be duly paid to the Head-ca!le£lors, whofe Receipt fhall be a fufficient Dtfcharge unto every fuch Sub-colle£tor, which Sub-colle£lor for gathering the faid parti- .cular Sums fhall retain in his Hands for every twenty Shillings by him fo paid three Pence, as a Reward for his Pains and Service. And the Head-colleftors fhall accordingly pay over the faid Monies unto the Receiver General of each County, City, or Place re- ■fpeftively in Manner aforefaid ; (which Head-coUeftor or CoUeftors fhall be nominated and appointed by the Receiver General of the refpeftive Counties, which faid Receiver General ,fhall be anfwerable for all fuch Sums of Money as fhall be by him or them collefted or re- ceived. And that no Sub-colledtor fhall be inforced to travel above the Space of ten Miles

for the Payment of the faid Monies that fhall be by him colle<£led or received ; And the

faid Receiver General's Acquittance fhall be a fufficient Difcharge unto every fuch rHead-colle£lor. And the Receiver General fhall pay the whole Sum by him received into

the Receipt of their Majefties Exchequer in fuch Manner, and at or before fuch Days and

Times as are herein bjfore limited ; And fhall have an Allowance of two Pence in the Pound for all Monies, which fhall be by him paid into the Receipt of the Exchequer up- ,-on or before the Times prefixed in this Aft. XII. And for the careful writing and tranfcribing the faid Warrants, Certificates, Eftreats and Duplicates in due Time, It is further enafted. That the CommiiTioners Clerks, who fhall reipeftively perform the fame, fhall by Warrant under two or more of tht; Commif- fioners Hands, have and receive firom the refpeftivc Receivers General, one Pejiny in the pound of all fuch Monies as he or they fhall h&ve. received by Virtue of -fuch Warrants and 1 Eftreats, who are hereby appointed and allowed to pay the fame accordingly.
