' Wl HE RE AS by one AiSt made in a Parliament holden at Weflminfler, in the eleventh Year of the . II W. 3.C. 2. ' VV Reign of our late Sovereign Lord King William the Third, intituled, An Aif for granting unto ' his Majefty an Aid by Sale of the forfeited and other Eftates and Inter ejfs in Irelanii, and by a Land Tax in ' England, for the feveral Purpofes therein mentioned, it is provided, That the Sum of one and twenty thou- ' fand Pounds, therein mentioned, fhould be paid to and amongft the feveral Perfons, who were Purcha- ' fers of any Eftate of Inheritance, of any of the forfeited Lands or Eftates in Ireland, under the Grantees ' thereof, who Ihould prove the aftual Payment of their Purchafe-money, before the Truflees menti- ' oned in the faid Aft for Sale of the forfeited Eftates in Ireland, on or before the tenth Day ol Auguft one ' thoufand feven hundred, to be divided amongft fuch Purchafers, in Proportion to the Sums by them re- ' fpeftively paid for their feveral Purchafes : And whereas in pursuance of the faid K&, feveral Perfons ' did, before the faid Truftees, pi^ove tlie a£tual Payment of the Sum of fifty-nine thoufand five hundred ' and two Pounds, for the Purchafes of the feveral Eftates of Inheritances to the feveral Grantees thereof ' (which faid Sum of one and twenty thoufand Pounds, Part;, of the faid Purchafe-money, was by the ' faid Aft charged on the Lands fo purchafed refpeftively) according to the Direftions of the faid Aft : ' And whereas no confiderable Part, if any, of the faid Sum of one and twenty thoufand Pounds, hath ' been as yet paid to the faid Purchafers : And whereas it may very much conduce to the Strengthening ' and Prefervation of the Proteftant Intereft in Ireland., to continue the faid Purchalers in the PolTeflion of ' the refpeftive Lands by them refpeftively purchafed, and that fome further Relief may be given the ' faid Purchafers ;' May it pleafe your Majefty (at the moft humble Suit of the faid Purchafers) that it may be enafted, £3°f. " Perfons who purchafed Eftates under the Grantees, Isc. fhall enjoy the fame, paying 13 Years Pur- " chafe for an Eftate of Inheritance, and 6 Years and a half for an Eftate for Life, i^c. according to the " Rents, Anno 1701. In Default of paying Remainder of Purchafe-money, " Truftees may fell the Lands, iSc." VII. And to the End that none of the faid purchafed Premifles may ever defcend or come to any Pa- pift or Papifts, or Perfons profeffing the Popifh Religion, but that the fame fhall defcend and come, and remain to be held and enjoyed by Proteftants, for the ftrengthening and fupporting of the £';?^/z/^ Intereft, Pel fori educated and the Proteftant Religion in Ireland; Be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
