And be it further enabled that every fuch Regifter, before he enter upon the Execution of the faid Office, fhall be fworn before the Juftices of the Peace for the faid Riding, or any three or more of them that fhall be prefent at his Election (who are hereby impowered and required to adminifter fuch Oath) in thefe Words : ' "KT O U fhall truly and faithfully perform and execute the Office and Duty that is direiled and re- Regifter's Oath,

So help you God. X. And that when and as often as the faid Regifter fhall appoint any Deputy to execute the faid Of- Regifter's De- fice, fuch Deputy fhall, before he enter upon the Execution thereof, take the faid Oath appointed to be puty to take the taken by the Regifter, before two or more Juftices of the Peace for the faid Riding, who are hereby im- '^"^ °^*' powered and required to adminifter fuch Oath ; and that every Regifter, at the Time of his being fworn Regifter to give into the faid Office, fliall alfo enter into a Recognizance with two or more fufficient Sureties, to be ap- a.oool. Security. proved of by five or more of the Juftices of the Peace of the faid Riding that where prefent at his faid Eleftion, by Writing under their Hands and Seals, to be regiftred at the next General Quarter-Seffions of the Peace for the faid Riding, of the Penalty of two thoufand Pounds unto her Majefly, her Heirs and Succeflbrs, to be taken by the fame Juftices of the Peace that approved of his Security, conditioned for his true and faithful Performance "of his Duty in the Execution of his faid Office ; The fame to be tranfmitted by the fame Juftices of the Peace, within one Month next after the l3ate thereof, into the Office of her Majefty's Remembrancer of the Exchequer, there to remain amongft the Records of the faid Court. XL Provided neverthelefs, and be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
