- whereas the laft mentioned Patent expired in or about the Month of May in the Year of our Lord one
' thoufand feven hundred and feven, fince the Expiration of which faid Patent, the Officers of herMajefiry's ' Cuftoms have put a Stop to the Exportation of all white Clothes ; and fome Doubts have arifen whether ' the fame may be exported, notwithftanding the many good Laws that have been made for the Encou- ' ragement of the Woollen Manufadfure : And whereas there are great Qiiantities of white Woollen ' Clothes now ready to be fliipt off, and exported into Parts beyond the Seas, where there is a great De- ' mand for the fame, and it hath been the Wifdom of this Nation in all Ages, to give all due Encourage- ' ment to the Woollen Manufafture thereof :' For preventing therefore of all Doubts that have or may- arjfe concerning the Exportation of white Woollen Cloth, and for the better Encouragement of the All white 'Wool- Woollen Manufa6ture of this Kingdom, and Employment of the Poor, Be it enafted by the Qiieen's moft len Cloth what- Excellent Majefly, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Com- ever made in mons in Parliament ailembled, and by the Authority of the fame.
