XL An A£t to explain fo much of the ASt for prohibiting the Exportation of Corn, Malt, Meal, Flour, Bread, , Anns, c s; Bifcuit, and Starch, and Low Wines, Spirits, Worts, and Wafh drawn from malted Corn ; by which §. 7. A<Si; the faid Commodities are admitted to be carried from the Ifle of JVight to feveral Markets ; and for giving Liberty to export certain Quantities of Oatmeal for the Ufes of the Briiijh Hofpitals beyond the Sea?. After the fecond oi March 17 10. it fhall be lawful to export Corn of the Growth of the Ifle of Wight to Southampton, isfc. in any Veflel whatfoever, but not elfewhere, taking fuch Cocquets, l^c. as by the former Ail. After i March 1710. any Perfon having a Licence from the Queen, may export Oatmeal, not exceeding 400 Bufhels for Holland, not exceeding 200 Bufliels to Barcelona, and not ex- ceeding the like Quantity to Lijhon, for the Ufe of the Britijh Troops in thofe Places. EXP. CAP. XIL An A6t for making a convenient Dock or Bafon at Liverpoole, for the Security of all Ships trading to and from the faid Port o( Liverpoole. After 24 yune 17 10. the Piece of Ground gr-.nted by the Mayor, &c. of Livetpoole, for making a Wet Dock, fhall for ever remain to that Ufe. The faid Mayor, (s'c. im- ■ powered to make a Wet Dock. After the faid 24th oijune, for 21 Years, fhall be paid to the faid Mayor, ISc. for every Ship, i3c. (except the Queen's] the Rates following: For every Ship trading between the faid Port and St. David's Head, or Carlijle, for every Tun two Pence ; trading between St. David's Head and the Land's End, or beyond Carlijle, to any Part in or on this Side the Shetla-ads, or to and from the Ifle of Man, for every Tun three Pence; trading to Ireland, for every Tun four Pence ; trading up the Queen's Channel beyond the Land's End, or beyond the Shetlands, for every T"un four Pence ; trading to Norway, Denmark, Holjicin, Hollcmd, Hamburg, Flanders, or any Parts of France without the ?iUe.^.s of Gibraltar, or the Iflands of Jerjey or Guernfcy, for every Tun eight Pence; trading to Neivfoiindland, Greenland, RuJJia, and within the Baltick, Portugal, and Spain, without the Strcights, Canaries, Maderas, Wejlern IJks, Azores, for every Tun twelve Pence; and for every Ship trading to the Wcjl Indies, Virginia, or any other Part of America, Africa, Europe, or Afta, within the Streights, or not named before, any Part of Africa without the Streights, or Cape de Verde Ifles, for every Tun one Shilling and fix Pence. The Mayor, iifir. fhall be Truftees and make Bye-laws. No Cuftom- houfe Officer to m>ake out any Cocquet for any Ship, Isc. till the faid Duties are paid. The Mafter to produce an Acquittance teftifying the Receipt thereof. The Colleftor may go on board any Ship to dem.and the Duties, and if refufed may difVrain the Ship, isc. And if not paid in ten Days, then to be appraifed and fold, returning the Overplus. No Diflrefs till ten Days after Demand. The Col- leiSlor to keep a Book to enter Receipts and Payments, and to deliver in his Accounts upon Oath. The Mayor, feff. may convey the Duties, as a Security for any Sum of Money not exceeding 6000/. After the 24th of June 171 1. no Ballaft, ^'c. to be thrown into the Dock, on Penalty of a Fine not to ex- ceed 5 /. The Mayor, (sfc. may put in or difplace and Colledtor, &c. direft the Payments, and infpeit the Accounts, call the Collettors, &c. before them, and levy the Arrears, if any, by Diftrefs and Sale, and for want of Diftrefs, commit to Gaol, till paid, or Security given to pay. ' Not to extend to hin- der the Mayor, ^c. from enjoying the wafte Ground, or building Cranes, ^c. After the Expiratioji of the 21 Years, one fourth of the Duties fhall be paid to the Mayor, i^c. Nine Commiffioners to be appointed to inlpe£t the Accounts ; who may call the Colleftors, i3c. before them, and order the Dif- pofal of the Monies; and fhall meet at Liverpoole. Ships forced in not to be charged. Nor Ships to or from Chejler- Saving to the faid Corporation all the Franchifes, i^c. not herein provided for.
