C. 3 — 5. 421 , Dominions by Perfons or Merchandizes coming from Places infeded, hath by feveraJ Orders made by her in Council, and by her Royal Proclamation, dated the ninth Day oi Novemher in the ninth Year of her Majefty's Reign, required a Quarentine to be performed by all Ships and Perfons coming from ' Places infedted, as therein is dire<£led : And whereas it is neceffary that fome Provifion be made by A6t ' of Parliament, for obliging all Perfons concerned to perform their Quarentine in fuch Manner as hath ' been, or fliall be, in Times of InfevEtion, ordered by her Majefty, her Heirs and Succeffors, and for ' puniftiing Offenders therein, in a more expeditious Manner than at prefent can be in the ordinary Me- ' thods of the Law;' Be it enacted, i^c. " All Ships coming fro;tl Places infefted, to make their Quarentine in fuch Place, i^t. as fhaH be direct- " ed by her Majefty, ISc. No Perfon fhall go on board fuch Ships without Licence ; and fuch Ships, " Perfons, faff, mall be fubjeit to the Orders of the Queen, ^'c. After the 25th of Dt-c. 1710, if any " Mafter, fffc. fhall go on Shoar, fcff. or permit any Perfon fo to do, without Licence, the Ship, isc^ " fhall be forfeited to the Queen. Perfons coming on Shore, to be compelled to return on board, there " to remain during the Quarentine. Punifhment of Perfons leaving fuch Ship. Forfeiture, how to be " applied. Perfons going on board fuch Ship, and returning on Shoar, to be compelled to return oa " board again, there to remain during the Quarentine. The Perfon who takes Care of the Quarentine, " may feize any Boat belonging to the Ship, and detain it during the Quarentine. Punifhment of fuch " Perfon, fuifering any Seamen, iSc. to quit fuch Ship. Watches to be kept to prevent Perfons from ♦' coming on Shoar or going on board. An A£t for charging and continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and' Perry, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and ten. EXP. CAP. IV. An Aft to continue the Afl:s for recruiting her Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and eleven. Officers fhall receive fuch Perfon as fhall voluntarily lift himfelf before any two Commiflioners, who fhall caufe the 14th and 23d Articles of War to be read to him, after which he fhall be deemed a lifted Soldier. If any Adtion be brought for a juft Debt (not lefs than 20I.) againft fuch Volunteer, and he be arrefted, and then difcharged as a lifted Soldier, he fhall within two Months be fent beyond Sea, to ferve the Queen as a Soldier ; otherwife he fhall have no Proteftion as a Soldier. The Perfon who difcharges him, fhall make an Entry thereof Commiflioners fhall examine Perfons lifted, and if they are Sea- men, they fhall be difcharged. Commiflioners to meet from Time to Time.
