An Act for continuing the Duties upon Matt, Mum, Cyder and Perry in that Part of Great Britain called England; and for granting to his Majefty certain Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder and Perry in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty- three ; and for giving further Time to Clerks and Aprentices to pay Duties omitted to be paid for their Indentures and Contracts. EXP. CAP. II. An Act to allow a further Time to John Thomfon to appear and produce the Books, and dif- cover the Effects of The Charitable Corporation for Relief of induftrious Poor, by affifting them •with fmall Sums upon Pledges at legal Interefl, and to be examined thereupon at the Times and Places fixed in the Bill, and for allowing the faid John Thomfon a Proportion out of the Effects of the faid Corporation which he fhall difcover, and for preventing fraudulent Releafing or Affigning any Debt due, from George Robinfon or the faid John Thomfon, or either of them.   • John Tliompfon reflectively fhould not, on or before the thirtieth Day of March one thoufand feven hun-

' dred and thirty-two, appear before either Houfe of Parliament or a Committee of either Houfe of Par- 1 liament, and fubmit to be examined touching the Matters and Things, and in the Manner therein ' mentioned, and in that Cafe ihould not, on or before the fourth Day of April one thoufand feven hun-

  • dred and thirty-two, furrender himfelf or themfelves refpectively to the Commiffioners named in the

4 feveral Commiffions of Bankruptcy therein mentioned to be awarded againft them reflectively, or to

  • fome of them, and fubmit to be examined from Time to Time upon Oath by and before the faid
  • Corrmiffioners, or the major Part of them, and in all Things conform themfelves to the feveral Sta-
  • tutes made concerning Bankrupts, and alfo upon fuch Examination make fuch Difcovery as is in the faid

' Act mentioned, and deliver up to the faid Commiffioners, or the major Part of them, all fuch Goods, ' Wares, Merchandizes, Effects and Eftate, and all Books, Papers and Writings relating thereunto, as 4 at the Time of fuch Examination before fuch Commiffioners ihould be in the Poffeffion, Cuftody or

  • Power of the faid George Robinfon or John Thomfon, or either of them, then fuch of them the faid
  • George Robinfon and John Thomfon as fhould be guilty of any Default or wilful Omiffion therein, being

' thereof lawfully convicted by Indictment, fhould be deemed and adjudged to be a Felon, and ihould ' fuffer as a Felon without Benefit of Clergy, and all Juftices of Peace within the Kingdom of England, ' Dominion of Wales and Town of Berwick upon Tweed were authorized and required by the faid Act, in

  • cafe the faid George Robinfon or John Thomfon reflectively fhould not appear before either Houfe of Par-

' liament or a Committee of either Houfe of Parliament,' and fubmit to be examined as aforefaid withirc ' the Time thereby limited for that Purpofe, to grant Warrants for the taking and apprehending the faid

  • George Robinfon or John Thomfon, and them or either of them fo taken to commit to the common Gaol

' of the County, City or Place where they or either of them fhould be fo taken and apprehended ; and ' Power and Authority was alio given by the fame Act to any Perfon or Perfons, by virtue of a War-

  • rant under the Hands and Seals of the faid Commiffioners of Bankruptcy in and by the faid Commif-
