And it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That fuch of the Books, Papers and Writings which now belong to the faid United Company of Barbers and Surgeons, and relate to or concern the Surgeons or Surgery only, (hall immediately after the faid firft Day of July one thoufand feven hundred and forty-five be delivered by the faid Company of Barbers, eftablifhed and incorporated by this Act, to the Mafter and Governors, and Court of Affiftants, of the faid Company of Surgeons eftablifhed and incorporated by this Aft, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons as they, or the major Part of them fhall, by Writing under their Hands appoint to receive the fame, for the Ufe and Benefit of the faid Company of Surgeons : And that the Mafter, Governors, and Court of Affiftants of the fame Company of Surgeons, or any of them, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons as they, or the major Part of them (hall, by Writing under their Hands appoint, (hall and may, from time to time, and at all feafonable Times, upon reafonable Notice, from and after the faid firft Day of July one thoufar.d feven hundred and forty- five have free Accefs to, and Liberty to infpect and perufe, in the Hands of fuch Perfon or Perfons as the faid Company of Barbers (hall appoint to have the Care and Cuftody thereof, all the reft of the Books, Papers and Writings, and alfo all the Charters and Deeds which now belong to the faid United Company of Barbers and Surgeons ; and from time to time to take fuch Copies or Extracts of or from the fame, or any of them, as the faid Mafter, Governors, and Court of Affiftants of the faid Company of Surgeons, or the major Part of them, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons fo to be appointed as aforefaid, (hall from time to time defire or require; and alfo that the faid Company of Barbers (hall, from time to time, and at all Times, upon reafonable Notice, from and after the faid firft Day of July, produce the faid laft mentioned Books, Papers, Writings, Charters and Deeds, or any of them, at the Expence of the faid Company of Surgeons, upon any Trial at Law, or Hearing in Equity, or Examination of Wit- nefTes, or otherwife, where the faid Company of Surgeons (hall have Occalion to make ufe thereof, or of any of them, and permit the faid Company of Surgeons to make ufe of the fame accordingly. XXI. Provided always, and it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That every Perfon who hath been bound Apprentice to any Member of the faid United Company, and by the Laws or Cuf- tom of the City of London, or otherwife, is or would be intitled to his Freedom of the faid United Com- pany, and to the Freedom of the faid City, in cafe this prefent Act had never been made, (hall be in- titled and admitted to his Freedom in the faid Company or Corporation of Surgeons, if his Mafter is or was an examined Surgeon, or elfe to his Freedom in the faid Company of Barbers ; and in either Cafe (hall be intitled and admitted to his Freedom of the faid City of London; any Law, Ufage or Cuftom to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithftanding. XXII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That this Act (hall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be a Publick Act ; and be judicially taken Notice of as fuch by all Judges, Juftices, and other Perfons whatfoever, without fpecially pleading the fame. CAP. XVI. An Act to repair the Road leading from Tadcajler Bridge within the County of the City of York t to a Place near the faid City, called Hobmoor Lane End. P R. Tolls granted for zi Years. CAP.
