And 'be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That it fhall be lawful for the faid re- Taxes on feveral fpedtive Commiflioners, or any five or more of them, afiembled at their firft and at any General Half- Lands, yearly Meeting or Meetings, yearly and every Year to aflefs, rate, tax, and charge all and every the re- refpective Owner or Owners, Occupier or Occupiers of all and fmgular the faid feveral Fen Lands and Low Grounds within fuch refpedive Diftridts, by an equal and proportionable Tax or Atreffment, in Manner following ; that is to fay. For the Fen Lands and Low Grounds lying in the faid firfl:, fecond, fourth and fixth Diftricts, in any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding in the Whole two Shillings^ /^r Acre in any one Year ; and for the Fen Lands and Low Grounds lying in the faid third and fifth Diftriils, in any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding in the Whole five Shillings />i?r Acre in any one Year ; over and above fuch Taxes and AflelTments whereunto the faid Fen Lands and Low Grounds now are, or hereafter may be chargeable ; and alfo to limit and appoint fuch Days and Places^ for the refpedive Payments of fuch Taxes to the refpefiive Collector or Colleftors, Receiver or Receivers, for fuch re- fpecfive Diftri£ls, as they the faid refpe£live Commiilioners, or any five or more of them, under their Hands and Seals fhall think proper. XV. Provided always, and it is hereby ena6led and declared by the Authority aforefaid. That the The Quantity sf Quantities of the Lands fo to be rated and taxed as aforefaid, within the faid refpedive Diftri6ls, fhall, rateable Lands on or before the firfl Day oi Augu/i one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-feven, be given- in to the Re- J^gQ^JIem" ceivers or Colledors for fuch refpe^five Diflrids, by the Owners, Proprietors or Occupiers of fuch Lands ; and if any of the Owners, Proprietors or Occupiers of Land within any fuch Diflridl or Diftricts, fnall negleft or refufe to give in to any fuch Receivers or Colle6fors a particular Account of the Number of Acres contained in their feveral Lands; or in cafe there fhall be reafon to fufpeft the Number of Acres is not truly ftated in any fuch Account, it fhall be lawful for the Commiflioners, or any five or more of them, to order a Sutvey to be made of any of the faid Lands by an able Surveyor, not being a Proprietor of any Lands in the Diflridl, upon Oath ; which Oath any two of the Commif- fioners of the refpedive DiflriiSfs are hereby impowered to adminifter ; and any Survey which fhall be fo made, fhall be fufficient Warrant and A.uthority to the faid CommilTioners, or any five or more of them, to afcertain and determine the Quantities of fuch Lands ; and the Charge of furyeying the Lands of fuch Perfon or Perfons as fliall neglect or refufe to give in fuch Account, or delivering in a falfe Ac- count, fhall be paid by fuch Perfon or Perfons refpe6lively ; and in cafe of Nonpayment thereof, fliall be recovered in fuch Manner as the Taxes are herein direfted to be recovered ; and in cafe it fhall appear upon any fuch Survey, tiiat the Number of Acres was truly flated in any fuch Account, the Charge of fuch Survey fhall be defrayed out of the Monies arifing by virtue of this A6t within the refpeitive Diffrid, wherein the Survey fhall be fo made. XVL And whereas the faid Commons and Commonable Parts which are bounded and defcribed as Ta«s on Com- aforefaid, confifl: of one hundred and eighty Rights of Common, and extend into the firff, third, fourth, i^ion Rights j fifth and fixth Diflrifts, and it is neceflary that the Taxes for fuch Commons and Commonable Parts fiiould be equally and generally affefTed upon all the faid Rights ; and that fuch Taxes fhould be afcer- tained and regulated according to the Quantity of fuch Com.monable Parts, lying within each of the faid Diftri£ls, and the Amount of the Taxes for the feveral Lands within the fame refpettively ; and it -will tend to the more eafy and effedtual raifing of the faid Taxes, if the fame were to be affefled, collefted and levied, by and under the Diredion of the Commiflioners for the faid firft, third, fifth and fixth Di- ftri6fs ; Be it therefore ena£fed by the Authority aforefaid. That at the firfl Meeting, and at any General Half-yearly Meeting or Meetings as aforefaid, the faid Cornmiflioners for the faid tirfi:, third, fifth and fixth Diffri6fs, or any five or more of them, fhall yearly and every Year, affefs, rate, tax and charge, all and every Perfon or Perfons, who fhall be intitled to any Right or Rights of Common upon the faid Comm.ons or Commonable Parts, for the Ufe of the faid Diffrids, in Manner and according to the Pro- portions following ; that is to fay. When the Taxes for the feveral Lands in all fuch Diftricts fliall how to heap- amount unto the full Sums herein before authorized to be affefled upon fuch feveral Lands within fuch roro»«<^j Diflri£fs, the feveral Sums following fhall be afleffed upon the faid one hundred and eighty Common Rights for the Ufe of fuch Diflrict, and raifed by an equal Tax of feven Shillings and fix Pence for each Right ; to wit. The Sum of twenty-two Pounds and ten Shillings, being the Amount of the Taxes for fixty of fuch Rights, for the firfl Diffrict; the Sum of thirty Pounds, being the Amount of the Taxes for eighty of fuch Rights, for the third Diflrict; the Sum of five Pounds twelve Shillings and fix Pence, being the Amount of the Taxes for fifteen of fuch Rights, for the fourth Diflrict ; the Sum of feveri Pounds and ten Shillings, being the Amount of the Taxes for twenty of fuch Rights, for the fifth Di- flrict ; and the Sum of one Pound feventeen Shillings and fix Pence, being the Amount of the Taxes for five of fuch Pvights, to the fixth Diflrict; and when the Taxes upon the feveral Lands in all, any, or either of the faid Diflricts fhall be lefs than the full Sum or Sums herein before authorized to be ailefied upon the feveral Lands within fuch refpective Diftricts, the Sums to be alTeiTed upon the Common Rights for the Ufe of fuch Diflricts reTpectively, fhall be in exact Proportion, as near as may be, to the 7'axes for the feveral Lands in fuch refpective Diflricts ; and all the Sums to be affeffed in each Year upon the and raifed^ faid one hundred and eighty Comm.on Rights for the Ufe of all the f;nd DiPcricts, fhall be raifed in one grofsor general Sum, by an equal and general Tax upon each and every of fuch Rights; and the Taxes Jo raifed fhall be allotted and paid by the faid Commiflioners, or any five or more of them, for the Ufe of fuch refpedive Diflricts in and according to the Proportions in which fuch Taxes were ailelTed, and ihail
