The CommifTioners for the firft, third, fifth and fixth DiftricSts, at their General Meeting on the Day after the firfl Monday in May^ the Commiflioners for the fecond Diftridt, at their General Meeting on the third Monday in May^ and the Commiflioners for the fourth Diftrict, at their General Meeting on the firfl Monday in May^ and on any fubfequent Days to which fuch refpedtive Commifli- oners, or any five or more of them, fhall adjourn, Infpection fhall be had by the faid refpedtivc Commif- fioners, or any five or more of them, of the Receipts and Difburfements of fuch Monies as fhall have been raifed and received by Virtue of this Adt, in and in relation to their faid feveral Diftridts refpedtively for the Year then laft pall; and all Accounts relating to the faid feveral Diflricts fhall be at fuch Meeting, or within ten Days after, made up and fettled by the faid refpedtive CommifTioners, or any five or more of them then affembled, at which Time the feveral Colledlors or Receivers of the Taxes or Affeflments in fuch refpedtive Diflridls are hereby required to attend, with proper Books of Accounts of their Re- . ceipts and Difburfements, and all Vouchers for the fame; and upon Confideration and Examination of fuch Accounts, and of all other Accounts of the Receipts and Difburfements of the Money raifed and re- ceived by Virtue of this Adt, within or in relation to fuch Ditlrefs refpedtively, and upon Oath, if the fame fhall be required by the faid refpe£tive Commiflioners, or any five or more of them, (which Oath any one of the faid CommifTioners is hereby impowered to adminifter) the faid refpedtive CommifTioners or any five or more of them, are hereby impowered to allow and pafs under their Hands the faid Ac- count or Accounts, or fuch Part or Parts of the fame, as they fhall fee juft and reafonable ; and fuch Ac- count or Accounts, or fuch Part or Parts thereof, fhall be fairly entered in two dillinct and feparate Sets of Books, to be kept for each Diflrict for that Purpofe; one Set whereof fhall he kept by the Treafurer or Treafurers, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons for each Diflrict refpectively, as the faid refpective Com- miffioners, or any five or more of them fhall appoint, and the other Set thereof fhall be depofited in the Tow^n Hall of the faid Town oi March, or fuch other convenient Place as the faid refpedtive Commiflioners, or any five or more of them fhall think fit ; and the lafl-mentioned Set of Books fhall and may be infpec- ted and perufed at any Time, at feafonable Hours, by or at the Requefl of any Perfon or Perfons rated or taxed, in purfuance of this Adt, on paying fix Pence for the fame, XXXV. Provided always, and it is hereby further enadted and declared by the Authority aforefaid. Proceedings to That all Orders and Proceedings of the faid refpedtive Commiflioners, or any of them, at their Meetings, be entered" in fhall be entered in diftindl and feparate Books to be provided for that Purpofe, for the refpedtive Diftridts Books; to which fuch Orders and Proceedings fhall relate; and fuch Orders and Proceedings fo entered, fhall be _ . . figned by five or more of the faid refpedtive CommifTioners affembled at fuch Meetings ; and being fo produceTand figned fhall be deemed and taken to be Originals ; and all fuch Books, and alfo the Books hereby diredted read in Evidence to be kept for regiflering the Securities, Aflignments and Transfers, fhall or may be read in Evidence in Cafes of Ap- in all Cafies of Suits or Adtions touching any thing done in relation to or in purfuance of this Adt. P"ls. XXXVI. Provided alfo, and be it further enadted by the Authority aforefaid. That if any private Mill Satisfaftion to ftiall, by the Order or Diredtion of the faid Commiflioners, or any five or more of them, be taken down be made for or be employed for the Purpofes of this Adt, the faid CommifTioners, or any feven or more of them, private Mills. Ihall make fuch Recompence to the Owner or Owners of every fuch Mill fo taken down or employed, for the Expence fuch Owner or Owners hath or have incurred in building and fupporting fuch Mill, as ihall be agreed upon between fuch CommifTioners and Owner or Owners ; or in cafe of Difference con- VoL.
