Limitation of LXI. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That no Perfon or Perfons, in Great Bri- Sak of Chances, tmn or Ireland^ (hall fell the Chance or Chances of any Ticket or Tickets in the faid Lottery, or

longer Time lefs than the v/hole Time of drawing the Lottery then to come, or {hall receive any Money whatfoever in Confideration of the Repayment of any Sum or Sums of Money, in cafe any Ticket or Tic- kets in the faid Lottery {hall prove Fortunate ; or fhall lay any Wager relating to the drawing of any Ticket or Tickets in the faid Lottery, either as to the Time of fuchTicket or Tickets being drawn, or whether fuch Ticket or Tickets be drawn Fortunate or Unfortunate ; and all and every Perfon and Perfons who {hall Penalty. offend in any of the above-mentioned Matters, {hall forfeit and pay treble the Sum and Sums of Money which {hall have been received by fuch Perfon or Perfons, contrary to the true Intent and Meaning of this Act; to be recovered by A6lion of I)ebr, Bill, Plaint or Information, in any of- his Maje{ty's Courts of Record at TVeJlmhifier or Dublin refpeftively ; on which no EiToin, Protection, Privilege or Wager of Law,' or more than one Imparlance, {ball be allowed ; one Moiety v/hereof to be for the Ufe of his Majefty, his Heirs or Succefibrs, and the other Moiety to be paid to the Perfon or Perfons who {hall fue for the fame ; and every luch Wager or Contrail, and every Agreement relating thereto, {hall be, and is hereby declared to be null and void.^ I'erfons felling LXII. And be it further ena6ted by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Perfon or Perfons, in Great Brl- ^^^".'"^;'^'"^"/<3/« or Ireland^ fliall keep any Office or Offices, or ihall print or publifti any Scheme or Propofal, for re- "re*norpofl"e^/red ceiving any Sum or Sums of Money in Confideration of an Interefl to be granted for the fame, any Ticket ' or Number of Tickets in the faid Lottery, whereof fuch Perfon or Perfons {hall not then be actually pof- fefled, or in Confideration of any Sum or Sums of Money to be repaid in cafe any I'ickct or Number of Tickets, in the faid Lottery, which {hall not be in the adtual Poireflion of fuch Perfon or Perfons, fhall to forfeit cool, prove Fortunate, all and every fuch Perfon and Perfons fhall forfeit and pay the Sum of five hundred Pounds ; to be recovered by Action of Debt, Bill, Plaint or Information, in any of his Majefly's Courts of Record at JVeJhriinfler or Dublin refpedtively ; in which no ElVoin, Protedfion or Wager of Law, or more than one Imparlance fliall be allowed ; one Moiety thereof to be for the Ufe of his Majefty, his Heirs or Succefl'ors, and the other Moiety to be paid to the Perfon or Perfons who {hall fue for the fame j and alfo fhall fufFer three Months Imprifonment without Bail or Mainprize.
