TheLieutenants may change the XXXI. And be it enabled. That his Majefty's Lieutenant, together with any two or more Exercife from two Dav sin aHar- Deputy Lieutenants, or on the Death or Removal, or in the Ablence of his Majefty's Lieute- ve(t Month, to the Tuefday and ^ants, the Deputy Lieutenants, or any three or more of them, are hereby impowered to dif- i/eJntfday m Eafter Week. ^^^^^ ^-^^^ ^^^ Training and Exercifing of the Militia within their refpeaive Counties, Ridings or Places, in any one Month in the Time of Harveft, and to order and dire6t that the faid Mi- litia {hall be trained and exercifed inftead thereof on the Tuefday and Wednejday in Eajier Week j any thing in the faid recited AcS, or this Adt, to the contrary notwithftanding, XXXIL And be it enafted, That it may and (hall be lawful for the Officers of the A4iHtia^ or, in the Abfence of an Officer, for a Non-commiffion Officer, to detain the Militia Men, oa the Days of Exercife, any Time not exceeding fix Hours ; provided they do not keep them above two Hours under Arms at any one Time, without allowing them a proper Time to re- frefli themfelves. XXXIIL And be it ena^ed. That the Officers and Private Men ferving in the Militia quar- tered and billeted according to the Dire£l:ions of the faid recited Adt, fliall be received and fur- niftied with Diet and Small Beer by the Owners of the Inns, Alehoufes, Vidtualling-houfes, and other Houfes in which they are allowed to be quartered and billeted, paying and allowing for the fame the feveral Rates herein after mentioned ; that is to fay. For one Commiffion Offi- cer under the Degree of a Captain, for Diet and Small Beer fer Dieru, one Shilling j and for one Private Man's Diet and Small Beer per Diem ^ four Pence. XXXIV. And be it enacSled by the Authority aforefaid, That Pay, Arms, Accoutrements and andAccouirementsmaybeiflued. Qothing, maybe iflued, and that an Adjutant and Serjeants may be appointed, for any Regi- ment or Battalion of Militia of any County, Riding or Place, when it fhall appear, by a Re- turn figned by his Majefty's Lieutenant, or in his Abfence by three Deputy Lieutenants, that three Fifths of the Militia Men of any fuch Regiment or Battalion have been inrolled ; and that three Fifths of the Commiffion Officers have been appointed ; and that they have taken out their Commiffions, and entered their Qualifications ', any thing in the faid recited KSt. to the contrary notwithftanding.
